COMPOSITION:
Blend of volatile oils

DESCRIPTION: Blackhead disease (i.e. infectious appendicitis and hepatitis) in turkey forms due to the act of a protozoan parasite Histomonas meleagridis. The caecal parasitic nematode Heterakis gallinarum assists and propagates the spread of Histomonas, resulting in infections of further animals. Namely, H. meleagridis resides within the eggs of H. gallinarum and transmitted with contaminated soil or feed into the recipient animals’ gastro-intestinal tract. Because of the extensive economic losses, it is of great importance to prevent the appearance and formation of blackhead disease in animal husbandry. Otherwise, the following symptoms may arise when blackhead disease emerges in poultry: decreased weight gain, deterioration of feed conversion ratio, anemia, impaired immune system, and concomitant cachexy of the livestock. Nevertheless, the high level of volatile oils in the product selectively prevents the propagation of H. meleagridis and thus the formation of the disease.

INDICATION: The continuous administration of the product influences favorably the composition of the intestinal flora and decreases profoundly the incidence and occurance of the blackhead disease.

TARGET ANIMAL: Turkey, guinea fowl.

HOW TO USE: Dissolved in drinking water.

DOSAGE: 0.5 g / 1 liter drinking water (i.e. at a concentration of 0.05%) of continuous application in case of prevention, while 1 g / 1 liter drinking water (i.e. at a concentration of 0.1%) for 7-10 days if  blackhead disease already exists in the livestock. The product can be co-administered along with any medication if required.

STORAGE: In dry place at room temperature, protected from light, placed on pallet.

BEST BEFORE: In original sealed packs for 1 year.
